Honoring Six Decades of Heritage
Celebrating Marshall’s 60th anniversary required a massive digital story, honoring six decades of rock history from Jim Marshall’s humble 1960 shop to huge Super Bowl stages.
The challenge was curating and designing an enormous volume of content spanning music culture, iconic artists, and brand milestones. Because our photo assets ranged from low-resolution vintage archives from the 1960s to modern digital photography, every image needed extensive retouching, color correction, and visual balancing to feel cohesive. We also needed an editorial design framework that could respect the brand’s deep heritage while delivering modern storytelling you expect from a quality brand.
Modular Editorial System & Storytelling
Partnering with an external creative agency, we co-defined an article system of templates, components, and layout patterns that powered all 32 campaign pages, complete with interactive mini games.
This structured workflow allowed us to handle rich multimedia content effortlessly, including embedded audio, video, and still image galleries. By mapping out modular text blocks, media grids, quote callouts, and hero headers in Figma, I could build and iterate on long-form articles rapidly without losing visual rhythm or quality.
Beyond the core web experience, these retouched assets, editorial themes, and custom image layouts were adapted directly into social posts and cross-channel marketing, ensuring a seamless story everywhere fans interacted with the anniversary.
Impact & Reflection
The finished campaign delivered a seamless narrative celebrating 60 Years of Loud, proving how structured systems can elevate long-form digital storytelling.
The systematic approach made it possible to execute a project of this scale with speed and consistency. It turned six decades of fragmented archives, rock history, and product launches into a unified, high-energy digital experience. By combining rigorous image restoration with reusable component templates, we created a rich editorial framework that honored Jim Marshall’s legacy while providing versatile visual assets for future brand campaigns.
